My three breeding females live as part of my family with my children and grandchildren. I also have a retired, neutered show cat, Cupid, who is part of our family as well. Experts in feline husbandry recommend that mothers and new kittens be confined during the early stages of development. This insures the safety and health of the kittens while their immune systems develop. After receiving first vaccinations, the kittens are raised underfoot with my family and the other adult cats in my household. This is an important, contributing factor to their development into well socialized kittens that will be ready to make a smooth transition into their forever homes.
